Who we are

Parking People Ltd. (registered No. 518341) operates parkingpeople.ie. Our offices are at Navigation House, Sandycove, Kinsale, Co. Cork and 51 Bracken Road, Sandyford, Dublin. We are the data controller for any personal data you give us through this site or by signing up for a parking permit.

What we collect

• Account data — name, email, phone, address — when you sign up for a permit or contact us.
• Vehicle data — registration, make, model, colour — for your permit.
• Payment data — handled and stored by Stripe under their PCI-DSS Level 1 certification. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage data — pages visited, referrer, device type — only if you accept analytics cookies. Used to improve the site.
• Operational data — permit status, payment history, communications — for as long as you're a customer.

Why we collect it

• To provide the parking permit you signed up for (legitimate interest, contract).
• To take payment and issue receipts (legal obligation, contract).
• To send transactional emails about your permit, payments, and changes (legitimate interest).
• To send marketing emails — only if you opt in.
• To meet our legal obligations (tax, accounting).

Where it's stored

Your personal data is stored on EU-based servers. We use the following sub-processors:

• Stripe — payment processing, card data, billing portal.
• Mandrill — transactional email delivery.
• Xero — accounting and invoicing (financial data only).
• Google Analytics 4 — website usage measurement, only if you opt in.

How long we keep it

We hold your customer data for as long as you're a customer plus 7 years (statutory accounting retention). After that, financial records are kept in aggregated form and personal fields are deleted. You can request earlier erasure at any time — see below.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — fix anything inaccurate.
• Erase — ask us to delete your personal data. We'll anonymise our records, keeping only aggregate financial data required by law.
• Object — opt out of marketing email at any time.
• Portability — get your data in a machine-readable format.
• Complain — lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Email office@parkingpeople.ie with any of these requests. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a few cookies that are strictly necessaryfor the site to work (sign-in, billing portal). You can't turn these off because the site won't function without them.

We use analytics cookies(Google Analytics 4) only if you opt in via the cookie banner. These help us see which pages are popular and where the site could be clearer. You can change your mind any time — clear your browser's site data and the consent banner will reappear.
