Trócaire — Schools Project Somalia
20% of all clamping revenue and a share of company profit goes to Trócaire's Schools Project Somalia. The project funds classrooms, teacher training, school meals, and clean water for children in conflict-affected regions of Somalia.
We chose this commitment specifically because clamping is the part of our business that people most associate with friction. Tying the revenue to a humanitarian outcome doesn't excuse a clamp — but it does mean every clamp puts a meal on a desk.
Ethical clamping policy
Our clamping policy is published, proportionate, and applied consistently:
- Clear signage on every site, in plain English.
- Grace periods for short stays where signs are ambiguous.
- Single, capped fee — no escalation tactics.
- 30-minute response window for legitimate appeals.
- Refunds where the clamp was unjustified — without argument.
Data & privacy
Customer data lives in Irish/EU infrastructure. We don't share permit-holder data with third parties. Card details are held by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1) — never by us.
How to raise a concern
If you have a concern about how a site has been operated or how a clamp was applied, email our office. We aim to respond within one working day. If we got it wrong, we'll say so, fix it, and tell you what we changed.
